Laura van Bavel

Laura van Bavel provides legal assistance to individuals and companies on matters of financial-economic criminal law, Business & Human Rights, (international) sanction law and asset recovery. She also advises in the field of compliance and disciplinary law.

Laura completed a master's degree in Criminal Law, with a specialization in European Criminal Law and Human Rights, at Utrecht University. During her studies, Laura has worked as an intern and after that as a paralegal at JahaeRaymakers. Laura's interest in financial-economic sanction law is also reflected in her master's thesis concerning the duty for financial institutions to report integrity incidents. Laura is a member the Dutch Association for Young Criminal Defence Lawyers (NVJSA).

During her studies, Laura gained experience as an volunteer in providing free legal advice at a local legal consultation office. Furthermore, during her studies, Laura was a board member of Ad Informandum, a study association for criminal law.
