Thomas Huiberts

Thomas completed his master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Leiden University in 2025. In his thesis, he examined the interplay between international humanitarian law and the European Convention on Human Rights in the context of investigating war crimes. He paid particular attention to the topics of jurisdiction and positive obligations.

During his studies, Thomas gained broad experience through legal internships at the District Court of The Hague, the Public Prosecution Service, and an international law firm (Corporate Criminal Law practice group). Here, he gained experience in both general and special criminal law (financial and environmental), internal investigations, and reputation issues. Through his work, he is familiar with the working methods and ways of thinking of the various parties involved in criminal proceedings, from clients to prosecutors.

After graduating, Thomas worked as a lecturer at Leiden University. Thomas is also actively involved in various social organizations.

Thomas joined the JahaeRaymakers team in February 2026.
